The Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing customers and resellers in the Kansai region (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe) for a start .
The candidate should have experience in industrial water treatment, cooling towers, HVAC systems, or facility engineering sales.
This role will focus on ESG business development, reseller partner development, technical sales support, and marketing.
Must Have:
- at least 3-5 years experience in B2B technical sales
- Experience in water treatment, cooling towers, HVAC, facility management systems, or industrial equipment sales
- Experience working with distributors or channel partners/resellers
- Based in Osaka / Kansai region
- Native Japanese, business level English preferred
- Willing to travel within Japan
- Experience with ESG, energy saving, or sustainability solutions
- Experience selling to factories, data centers, or commercial buildings
- Engineering background (Mechanical / Environmental / Chemical)
- Reports to Regional Director (Singapore ASEAN HQ)
- Works closely with engineering and technical team
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Identify and develop new customers in industrial plants, commercial buildings, and data centers
- Promote non-chemical water treatment solutions
- Conduct sales presentations and technical proposals including managing demo and order fulfilment
-Explore exhibitions and networking with the local ESG space
Reseller Partner Development:
- Identify and appoint local resellers
- Guide reseller sales teams for join visits
- Support reseller in closing projects
- Manage partner relationships and sales pipeline
Technical Sales:
- Conduct site visits and system assessments
- Work with engineering team to prepare proposals facilitate demo
- Provide technical presentations and product training
Marketing:
- Support trade shows and industry events in Japan
- Develop local marketing materials with HQ
- Provide market feedback and competitor information
