DeCaIon™ (DCI) is a patented, advanced water treatment system designed to remove scale, prevent corrosion, and control microbial growth in cooling water systems. Utilizing electrochemical technology, DCI operates without the need for descaling chemicals, disinfectants, or corrosion inhibitors, providing a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution for HVAC systems, industrial cooling equipment, and cooling towers.
The DCI system not only removes existing scale but also prevents new buildup by promoting a special electrochemical reaction. This process causes calcium (CaCO₃) and magnesium (Mg(OH)₂) to precipitate at the cathode, directly removing scale-causing ions such as Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺ from the circulating water. At the same time, DCI also helps remove silicon dioxide (SiO₂), maintaining system cleanliness and ensuring optimal heat exchange efficiency.
